Flower Drying Options
There are a number of options for drying flowers and foliage such as air drying. However, the results are often disappointing and some flowers are just not suitable for air drying. The use of Moisturesorb on the other hand results in exhilarating dried flowers and is well worth the effort.
The Solution
The Moisturesorb Flower Drying Powder was specially developed to dry flowers with exhilarating results. Moisturesorb is particularly effective for flowers that are not prone to air drying with good results.
How Moisturesorb Works
Moisturesorb is very effective and efficient at adsorbing moisture from flowers. Moisturesorb is negatively charged whereas moisture rides on positively charged particles. As a result, Moisturesorb draws in moisture like a strong magnet and traps it. The molecular structure of Moisturesorb is made up of a lattice structure arranged to form a honeycomb framework of billions of interconnecting channels. This gives Moisturesorb an enormous surface area that is larger than several football fields. The latter enables Moisturesorb to adsorb phenomenal amounts of moisture from flowera and work for months.
Environmentally Friendly
Moisturesorb is natural, recyclable, non-toxic, safe, non-hazardous, non-scented, and non-caustic. It is an ideal environmentally friendly solution for drying flowers of all types. Moisturesorb does not contain chemical additives and is beneficial for those suffering from chemical sensitivity.

Directions
For best results, spread out Moisturesorb it in a clean microwavable container and heat for 2- 4 minutes with turning in a microwave or until dry before using. Avoid using a plastic container because it could melt from the heated powder. Pour about an inch of cool Moisturesorb powder on the bottom of an airtight container. In addition, make little mounds of Moisturesorb to support all the flowers you will place in the container so that they will not dry flat.
Ensure that the flowers you will treat have just opened and do not have dew or moisture on them and are as flawless as possible. The flower stems should be trimmed to 1" - 1 1/2" (unless they will be used for gluing) and wired before drying them with the Moisturesorb as they will tend to be more fragile after they have dried.
Place flowers with fewer petals, face down, in the mounds and spoon the Moisturesorb under each petal without causing excessive weight on the flowers. Flowers with many petals should be placed face up and the inside petals gently coated with Moisturesorb. Ensure that the flowers are well covered with Moisturesorb and separated so moisture does not seep from one flower to the next. Seal the container making sure that it is airtight and store.
To test the flowers for dryness, gently feel the petals. They should feel crisp and papery dry. If they still feel soft, continue with the drying process. When the flowers are dry, gently pour the powder from the flowers and pick them up by the stem. Using a dry paint brush, gently brush the powder off the petals back into the container. The dried flowers can be stored in an airtight container and supported with dry builder's sand.
Product Life
The Moisturesorb Flower Drying Powder can be reused many, many times for years. To regenerate, simply heat Moisturesorb in an oven at 4250 F (2200 C) for about 3 hours or heat in the microwave for approximately 4 minutes or until dry. This will regenerate Moisturesorb so that it will be ready to be reused. The number of times Moisturesorb can be reused and its actual life span will depend on the conditions under which it is used.

The unused Moisturesorb Flower Drying Powder is non-hazardous and environmentally safe. However, this may change if it is exposed to hazardous or toxic substances. Used Moisturesorb should be disposed according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
