This product will cleanse swimming pools of odor, ammonia, heavy metals, and other pollutants through a process of ion exchange and adsorption. This high cation exchange capacity of WaterKlean™ combined with an affinity for specific ions makes it uniquely suited for swimming pools. The following cations can be removed by WaterKlean™. Rb+, Li+, K+, Cs+, NH4+, Ag+, Cd+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Ba2+, Sr2+, Co2+, Ca2+, Hg2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, Co3+, Al3+ and Cr3+. Use of WaterKlean™ will also result in clearer water by removing suspended pigments and factors which lead to algae build up. WaterKlean™ can be used in swimming pool filters instead of sand and can be regenerated and reused.
